My friend found this floating around the internet. It's a wedding cake made of meatloaf with mash potato and ketchup icing. Bizzare.
Now to the good stuff. To be honest, I started baking to impress my boyfriend before we started going out. But now I just love cakes and baking and actually feel like it's something I'm vaguely good at. Unfortunately, I barely take pictures of what I make. FAIL. But here's some:
Birthday cake for friend. Bit rough. From before I started baking alot.
These cupcakes were my first attempt at icing with the piping bag I got for Christmas. It's my favourite baking tool. Also, thumbs up to silicone cupcake cases. Saving the environment one paper case at a time. Or something.
This was a cheesecake for my boyfriend's birthday. I piped little chocolate hearts, it took ages to get them right. Yawn. Our oven didn't work for a while so I moved onto chilled deserts. I love making banoffee pie, it's so easy and soooo good. I've never taken a picture though.
That's all I have. We're having a BBQ tonight, I fancy making lemon meringue pie, it was one of my favourites when I was little... I don't much fancy doing the pastry (short of time too...) so I might cheat and buy one of those pie crust things. But does anyone have a good recipe for the other parts?
